Hildegard Westerkamp is a sound ecologist and radio artist that works with amazing natural acoustics. She travels around the world getting quality digital samples of conversations and city sound. Her use of acoustical recordings transform the intimate physical spaces of nature and culture.

Harun Farocki
Farocki is an early tape-to-tape film artist who uses series of images to complement each-other. His use video and film has reveals new constructs of the mediated self and our normative interaction with these technologies. His simple editing introduced how video should be used.
